A moment in time that they will forever remember where they were when it happened.
I never, ever imagined my moment would be 09/11/2001-- or, that I would have another defining moment, that a much smaller group of people would share with me.

Sophie's death continues to define who I am. Every day.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12559858326216119651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5729691681948373476.post-10324493890521834562008-09-12T13:12:00.000-04:002008-09-12T13:12:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12559858326216119651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5729691681948373476.post-31553149644176400472008-09-12T00:50:00.000-04:002008-09-12T00:50:00.000-04:00I can especially relate to this line. "rain will wash the stains away, but something in our minds will always stay"

What a beautiful post to remember those whose lives were "sacrificed" for our freedom.

And my defining moment is also when my sons died. It has shaped me into who I am today. There is definitely a difference between my "before" and "after". I miss the old me but I'm starting to accept who I am today. It's tough. I've mentioned this before, but an acquaintance once told me I shouldn't let my losses "consume me", but I guess she doesn't realize that THIS IS ME!Monica Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14767867041043811045noreply@blogger.com
